My Background

Hi, Pat here. Just a little about me. I have been playing music for 39 years and professionally since the age of 16. I was taught to play music in The Patrician Brass Band and these days I'm the full time drummer and a founding member of The Black Magic Big Band (20 piece Sinatra band) in Galway and also the drummer with The Lewd Tunes.

I've been privileged to share a stage with some fantastic acts over the years.

I have been teaching drums in Loughrea since 2005 . I am a certified musical instructor and I've been teaching music all over Galway since 1999. I'm a proud founding member of Loughrea Music Tuition and love my job giving drum lessons in Loughrea!

Sharing my Passion

I am a strong believer that everyone should be able to have a life of music. That's why I became a teacher. Whether you're a just a beginner or an advanced student needing guidance, let's explore music together!

I like to have as much fun with the students so they not only enjoy their lesson, but also see drums as something that is fun. This is key.

My Classes

I offer one to one lessons, separated by skill level. I offer Trinity College London drum grades from Initial (just below grade 1) right up to grade 8. Leaving and Junior cert performance is a specialty of mine. I am a big believer that all children should be exposed to music from a young age!

My classes are run in a one to one situation. Classes are 20 or 30 mins long.
